Prankur and Shankar combined well to help Madhya Pradesh outplay Maharasthra 77-61 to book a berth in the boys final of the 36th Sub Junior National Basketball Championships being played at Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.
In a nail-biting contest, both the teams were 26 each at the break, but thereafter MP boys made most of the opportunity to edge past Maharashtra to remain in contention for the title.
For Maharashtra Mohammed Salim Malik and Karthik scored 18 and 11 points, respectively.
But in the first semifinal of the girls groups between Chattisgarh and Kerala, it was easy for former to sail past latter 87-33, to enter the final of the tournament.
